MARLOTEX shpk donates masks to Institutions and Citizens in Albania

Marlotex shpk is a manufacturing company operating in Berat with more than 15 years in Albania, led by Mr. Gasmen Toska and Mrs. Teuta Qose. Under the circumstances created by Covid-19 Pandemic, this company from the beginning of the lockdown has been adapted to the new reality by shifting its production to Masks and Gloves. Due to lack of local production for basic products such as textile masks, there was a high  demand also from outside Albania, which made Marlotex shift their  production to handle the high demand to providing these products.

In Face of Global Pandemic, MIGA Bolsters Alpha Bank Albania’s Commitment to Supporting Local Enterprises

MIGA, a member of the World Bank Group, has issued a guarantee to Alpha Bank A.E. of Greece (ABG) covering up to €47.5 million of its investment in its Albanian subsidiary, Alpha Bank Albania SHA. The MIGA guarantee will cover Alpha Bank Albania’s (ABA) mandatory reserves held with the Central Bank of Albania from the risk of expropriation of funds, and support ABA’s lending operations at a time of significant strain arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

EBRD to boost Raiffeisen Bank Albania’s lending capacity

This facility will strengthen Raiffeisen Bank Sh.a capacity to meet the financial needs of selected clients, including corporates and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while keeping its risk-weighted assets under control. OTP Group looking to cooperate with startups again

From mid-September, startups can apply for the fourth OTP Startup Partner Program. OTP Group sees outstanding value in collaboration with innovative enterprises, which is proven by the fact that over the recent years, it reviewed the possibility of working with nearly 900 startups, conducted 30 pilots and had post-pilot collaborations with 12 companies. Bankers Increases the Oil Production

Bankers Petroleum Albania, the largest oil company in the country, has recorded a production of about 275 thousand tons during the first half of 2020. The average daily production is currently around 2050 tons, approaching day-to-day production levels before the onset of the pandemic. Although during the months of the pandemic, the company was forced to reduce to a minimum the activity in the Patos-Marinza oilfield, now the situation has returned to normal.

The Trans Adriatic Pipeline is now completed

After almost four and a half years since the start of construction, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline is substantially complete. The TAP pipeline has been filled with natural gas from the Greek-Turkish border up to the pipeline receiving terminal in Southern Italy.
