A Booklet for Business Ethics in Albania

For the first time in Albania, FIAA has prepared and launched a Booklet for Business Ethics, which can be used and adapted by all Albanian businesses and serve as a good guide for the entire business community. This Manual will guide the business in their daily activity to respect and implement legal and institutional framework, fair competition and protection of consumer interests.

Simplified Tax procedures, a new chapter for the business climate

The Ministry of Finances has prepared a Draft Fiscal Package for 2017, which does not foresee changes in the tax level, but only an improvement and simplification of tax procedures in the country. The Package was launched during the Meeting of the National Economic Council in June 8th. The Package of Procedures Simplification is considered by the Ministry of Finance as a New Chapter for the business climate.... Read more

Raiffeisen Leasing celebrates its 10th anniversary in Albania

Raiffeisen Leasing in Albania celebrated its 10th anniversary in Albania. On this occasion, it was organized a gala event with the participation of clients and partners, representatives from public institutions and different entrepreneurs. The Executive Director of Raiffeisen Leasing in Albania, Mrs. Ida Shehu in her greeting speech addressed to the participants, amongst other things said: “During these 10 years of its activity in Albania, Raiffeisen Leasing has aimed to make leasing part of the business culture, by being always near the Albanian businesses with qualitative service, flexibility and by fulfilling their needs”.

First TAP pipes arrive in Albania

  The Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP) announced arrival of the first steel line pipes and machinery for the construction of the Albanian section of the pipeline. The occasion was marked by a ceremony in the Main Marshalling Yard of TAP, in the vicinity of Durrës. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Energy and Industry Damian Gjiknuri, representatives of local authorities, TAP contractors, Albanian companies and other stakeholders.

Business Environment Index Development

BEI is the Business Environment Index which makes quarterly monitoring of changes in business environment in Albania through regular structured surveys among entrepreneurs to identify major trends and business barriers as well as monitor their development in time to set the mirror for policymakers. BEI is an initiative financed by Slovak AID – Official Development Assistance of the Slovak Republic and is being implemented by Business Alliance of Slovakia in cooperation with Foreign Investors Association of Albania.

Telekom Albania introduces Sea Hero Quest to Albanian Public

In the light of the initiative untaken to find a cure for dementia, Telekom Albania introduced this May to the public the Sea Hero Game. This game aims at contributing to a good cause through entertainment. The scope of Sea Hero Quest is to collect data which would greatly facilitate the research towards developing new diagnostic tests for the diseases that cause dementia. Sea Hero Quest is a multi-platform mobile game specifically designed to help advance our understanding of spatial navigation and how this aspect of our brain works, as part of a coordinated effort to bring us one step closer to managing the growing threat of dementia.
